Formed in 2007 by Bass Druid Cosmic Andy (Space Pirates/Psychik Hatters) and Rich Eagleweb(Tarana/Vestiges of Humanity)..
On a mission to unite the Multifarious channels of their shared musical ancestry...
On the eve of Sheffstock, with his former band, 'the order of things' imploded  Cosmic Andy uttered the words "If we can get some righteous~heavy Space~Boogie together.." And that began the partnership..soon gathered a host of great musicians from the scene, who climbed aboard and gave form and dimension to the vessel.
In the city which gave birth to Derek Baileys' free~jazz sessions down the Grapes in the early sixties, Spiral navigators' mix a structured set of songs in a medium of "Improg" (Improvised ~progressive~rock) , which gives a unique sound. Its a mixed genre of acid-folk and pyschedelic space rock.  Distant worlds, Mythic pasts..Thou art that..A form of original music
which the band has become recognised as a natural festival band, playing the likes of Kosfest in Devon, Sonic Rock Solstice in Wales, Soundawesome festivals, Cosmic Puffin festival on the Isle of Mersea in Essex, Onboard the craft in Derbyshire (where Nik Turner of Hawkwind guested on sax and flute) and a host of other small events
in our own city including the re-scheduled Sharrow festival 2012.
